St. Patrick’s Day is almost here! Have you started celebrations early? If not, we’ve rounded up venues to celebrate the holiday in New York City this Sunday.

Travel Channel’s The Traveling Type highlights New York City’s annual St. Patrick’s Day parade up Fifth Avenue, and recommends McSorley’s  Old Ale House, which opens at 8 AM Sunday. [The Traveling Type]

The parade also goes past St. Patrick’s Cathedral and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, as noted on Travel Viator Blog, if you want to plan some other stops along the parade route. [Travel Viator Blog]

If visiting McSorley’s Old Ale House this Sunday, Travel Smart Blog recommends The Standard Hotel for nearby lodging. [Travel Smart Blog]

In addition to McSorley’s, NYCxplorer recommends Molly’s as one of the best Irish pubs in NYC. “like a genuine, old-world public house, Molly’s dark, cozy atmosphere includes a working fireplace, wooden carriage booths, and sawdust covering the floor. There are plenty of brews on tap, and Molly’s is renowned for their food, especially the Shepherd’s Pie and burgers. A visit to Molly’s feels like visiting the old country.” [NYCxplorer]

Lillie’s will be celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with “lots of Green, lots of Guinness, lots of Food, and lots of Love,” this Saturday and Sunday, with live Irish music. [Lillie’s Union Square Blog]

I have attended St. Patrick’s Day in Dublin city of Ireland. My one of the friend told me that in Ireland it is celebrated on huge scale. I really enjoyed that festival and I would love to attend the festival again. But I was unknown about this festival is celebrated in my favorite tourist city – New York City also. It is just like icing on cake for me. I will love to attend this festival in New York City as my enjoyment will get doubled. . . .
