Last week, Eater compiled a list of Italian restaurants around the country and asked: are these America’s best Italian restaurants? Included in their list are some of our favorites, like Marea and Del Posto in New York and Osteria Mozza in Los Angeles. This week, we’ve rounded up highlights from around the Web on some of our favorite places to dine Italian. [Eater]

In New York, A Taste of Travel blog recommends heading uptown to Bottega del Vino for their “good coffee and quick dinner”. [A Taste of Travel]

Up Madison Avenue from Bottega del Vino, you can find another great Italian eatery, Via Quadronno. From Nourishment for the Senses’ blog post on the restaurant: “Steeped in Milanese traditions, Via Quadronno is famous for not only mouth watering Paninis, but also for unforgettable mochaccinos and scrumptious homemade pastries.” [Nourishment for the Senses]

And finally in New York, Little Italy is a must-see. If you make it there in September, plan for the festivities of San Gennaro Festival, complete with Italian eats, drinks, music and games. From The Alex Hotel’s website, “Little Italy in NYC shines bright with the best in Italian culture this September – the much-anticipated San Gennaro Festival is New York’s largest, most famous and longest running religious festival. Taking place in for 11 days starting Thursday, September 13, and continuing through Sunday, September 23, 2012, the Feast is something you don’t want to miss!” [The Alex Hotel Blog]

On the West coast, Zagat has named Angelini Osteria, one of our favorite LA restaurants, as the best Los Angeles Italian restaurant.,with Osteria Mozza earning second place honors. [Zagat Blog]

Buon Appetito!
