Friday Finds: Celebrity Spottings Around New York

September 21, 2012

From hotels, to restaurants, spas, parks and bars, we frequently notice news of celebrities frequenting many of the venues in our city guides. Last week, we mentioned Victoria Beckham and her daughter Harper were recently spotted at one of our favorite bistros in New York, Pastis. [PopSugar]

Looking for your daily pop culture fix? We’ve rounded up a collection of New York celebrity spottings at some of our favorite venues.

Earlier this week, Matt Damon was spotted doing good at The Ritz-Carlton, Battery Park, acting as sous chef to famed chefs Ming Tsai, Mario Batali, Marc Forgione and Masaharu Morimoto, at the Family Reach Foundation gala, helping to raise funds for the families of children fighting cancer. And those aren’t the only celebrities participating in charity events lately. You can find Paul Rudd, Rashida Jones, Mariska Hargitay, Jesse L Martin, Denis O’Hare, John Oliver, Lewis Black, Gina Gershon, Rachel Dratch, Bobby Cannavale, Victor Garber and Rosie Perez at Lucky Strike Lanes next month. “Rudd will raise money for the child stuttering charity Our Time at New York City’s Lucky Strike bowling alley on October 22.” [Digital Spy]

In candid celebrity spottings around The Big Apple, Olivia Munn was photographed catching a cab outside The Bowery Hotel last week. [Just Jared]

Not a surprise, but we’ve noticed a few celebs have been spotted in Central Park in New York the past week.

First, as Mila Kunis has been seen around Brooklyn, filming her latest movie, The Angriest Man, she was most recently spotted getting cozy with Ashton Kutcher across the bridge in Manhattan’s Central Park. [Fashion & style]

Also seen in Central Park this week was Alicia Silverstone and her son Bear Blu. [I’m Not Obsessed]

On the other coast, Kate Bosworth was photographed heading to one of our favorite Los Angeles spas, ONE the Spa at Shutters on the Beach in Santa Monica. [Oncelebrity]

Great post. Although I rarely run around looking for stars, but I do love to seem them doing charity work. I feel if money were not an issue for me, I would spend the majority of my time using my money and influence to try and help people struggling, or struggling communities. Can you imagine if 90% of stars felt the same?

Thanks for the post, and go Matt Damon!

You guys have really figure out some of the hot spots to see some really awesome celebrities! New York is like the mecca of celebrity spotting. Although I bet Las Angeles is pretty good too. I can’t think of many things I wouldn’t do to catch a glimpse of Mila Kunis in person, haha! Thanks for the share. I’ll be on the look out for my own celebrity spottings!
